Required Qualifications
- Completed doctoral or PhD studies in physics, chemistry or a related field
- Experience with low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy and atomic force microscopy (LT-STM/AFM), as well as in the field of surface physics

- Experience in writing relevant scientific publications
- Proven international visibility through contributions at scientific conferences
- Proven international visibility through contributions at scientific conferences
- Basic programming skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW,).
- Very good written and spoken English

Tasks
- dependent research activity (at least 50% of working time)
- Independent conduct of courses and examinations
- Supervision of students including supervision of bachelor’s theses; in addition, the Dean of Studies can, if required, commission supervision of master’s and diploma theses, but this is limited to the employee’s dissertation subject
- Participation in research, teaching and administrative tasks of the respective organizational unit
- Participation in examinations
